Here at Robichau’s Jewelry, we offer a several types of appraisals to fulfill your jewelry evaluation needs. Here are the type of appraisals that we offer:

 

Consultation (Free)

Whether you need to know the fair market value of an item or seeking a sale price for your item, we have a team of specialists here to give you an informal appraisal at no charge.

 

Appraisals for Insurance ($150 per item)

The most common type of appraisal that we do is an appraisal for insurance purposes. This type of appraisal is used to have an item added onto a jewelry rider, which is typically attached to your homeowner’s or renter’s policy. In the case of theft or a loss of a stone, this appraisal states what it would cost to replace the item with a brand new piece of similar quality. Appraisals are done Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

 

Because market values are constantly changing, we suggest you have a jewelry insurance appraisal performed every three years to ensure your jewelry is adequately insured in the event of a loss.

 

Appraisals for Legal Purposes ($150 per item)

This type of appraisal is used for estate planning, divorce settlements, and/or bankruptcy purposes. This appraisal bases the value on the item’s current condition in a forced sale. This appraisal will place the lowest value on an item.
